Man arrested in connection to deadly stabbing in Decatur

DECATUR, Tenn. (WTVF) — A homicide suspect was arrested for allegedly killing a Meigs County man.

Police say Michael Lee Joyner was stabbed to death at his Warren Lane home in Decatur. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Meigs County Sheriff’s Department say Randall Dewey Burnette, Jr. is the man responsible for Joyner's death.

Burnette is an acquaintance of the Joyner. Burnette was charged with one count of second degree murder.

He was booked into the Meigs County Jail on a $5,000,000 bond.
