Man arrested in connection to March deadly stabbing

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Police officials arrested a 57-year-old man in connection with the deadly stabbing of 53-year-old Herbert Chatman.

Police say Chatman was killed on March 1 by Thurman Bell Jr. outside Chatman's home on the 800 block of 17th Avenue North.

Witnesses told police Chatman and Bell Jr. arguing just before the stabbing. Bell was booked into the Metro Jail on Friday on an indictment charging him with first-degree murder.

Bell Jr., of Revels Drive, is being held in Metro jail on $250,000 bond.
