A Millersville 1-year-old has died while in the hospital from injuries she sustained by what police called physical abuse.
According to a press release from the Millersville Police Department, the incident happened on April 15 and the 16-month-old was admitted to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt with life threatening injuries.
Kortney Ahquin Stanciel of Goodlettsville confessed to harming the child but said it was unintentional.
Stanciel was arrested the next day and charged with aggravated child abuse. He was booked into the Robertson County Jail.
He was later charged with criminal homicide after the little girl died from her injuries on the morning of April 27.
