NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man has been charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of his girlfriend, police say.
The shooting occurred on April 23 at the woman's apartment on Star Boulevard.
According to Metro Nashville Police, they arrived at the scene at 5 p.m. after the suspect Lamontez Sykes, 22, had called 911 to report that his girlfriend, Taylor Miles, 20, had shot herself in the head.
However, the investigation conducted by police showed otherwise.
Sykes is now being helf in the Metro Jail on a $1 million bond.
