A man charged with killing a 3-year-old during a stabbing rampage at a child’s birthday party has ties to Tennessee.
NewsChannel 5 has learned that the suspect, Timmy Kinner, has spent time in prison for violence against others in Tennessee and Kentucky.
According to court documents in Shelby County, he's got a long rap sheet dating back 10 years, including arrests for felony sexual battery, felony assault, misdemeanor assault and several, varying drug charges.
Most of the charges were settled with plea agreements.
