NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A driver has been charged with his ninth DUI after a crash on Glenrose Avenue.
The wreck happened Friday at Oakland Street when William Alan Arnold drove into the back of a vehicle driven by Richard S. Kersamarki.
Authorities said Arnold had an "extreme odor of alcoholic beverage about his person." He was also described as being unsteady on his feet with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.
When asked to perform a field sobriety test, Arnold refused saying he always failed. However, he consented to a blood draw after being advised of the implied consent law.
Arnold has had eight prior DUI convictions, with the last being in 2012.
Officials charged Arnold with driving under the influence. No further details were available.
