A man has been charged with aggravated arson in connection with an apartment fire in Antioch.
The incident happened at a complex on Hamilton Church Road.
Officials said 25-year-old Tevin Battle set five separate fires inside his apartment.
His mother told investigators she found him in the kitchen holding something that was on fire. She told investigators that Battle pushed her out of the door and locked it.
Battle allegedly fled the apartment after the blaze started. He was later arrested in the area.
Investigators said he admitted to setting the fires.
There were no reported injuries. The blaze was contained to one unit.
