MADISON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police said a 29-year-old has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of a Hermitage man.
Detectives said Bradford Gardner shot and killed 30-year-old Johnathan Welch outside of a home in the 1500 block of Meadow Bend Drive in Madison early Sunday morning.
Welch had been involved in a fight at the house late Saturday night and reportedly returned there a few hours later, when another fight happened in the front yard. Police believe Welch was running to his car when gunshots were fired. He died at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
