NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officials issued a criminal homicide warrant for 26-year-old Jeremie Cunningham in connection to the deadly shooting of 31-year-old Shaun Taylor.

Police found Taylor shot at the Napier-Sudekum public housing on Charles E. Davis Blvd. last Friday. He died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Shortly after responding to the initial call, officers responded to the 30 block of Green Street in regard to another shooting victim. There, they found Cunningham suffering from a wound to his face, police said in a press release.

Police say Cunningham shot Taylor, but details of how he was injured or why he was blocks away were not released.

Cunningham will be booked on the criminal homicide warrant upon his discharge from a local hospital.
