MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Murfreesboro police said a man has died after being hit by a truck Wednesday night.
Police said the man, 57-year-old Luis Machiel, was walking in the left turn lane on S. Church Street when he was hit by a truck. The impact caused Machiel to land in the southbound center lane of traffic, where he was hit by a second car. Police said the driver couldn't stop in time. Police said a third vehicle ran over Machiel after the driver switched lanes when the traffic began to slow.
All three drivers remained at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Murfreesboro Police Fatal Accident Crash Team.
