NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A medical problem is suspected to be the cause of a man's death, after he crashed into a concrete junction box in Nashville Wednesday afternoon.

Metro police say 79-year-old Ernest Henegar was driving his 2016 Toyota Sienna north on Magnolia Boulevard, near Wedgewood Avenue, at a slow speed.

Henegar ran off the road around 1 p.m., striking a concrete junction box. While his vehicle's impact with the junction box didn't appear significant, he was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he died.

A medical event is believed to be the cause of Henegar's death.

No alcohol or drug involvement was found. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
