Man dies after shooting outside Antioch apartment; suspect still at large

ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police say a 30-year-old man died after he was shot outside of an apartment in Antioch.

The shooting happened at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday outside a unit at the Weatherly Ridge Apartments on Kothe Way.

Metro police say Martarias McCullough was "ambushed" as he walked towards his girlfriend's apartment. She told police that she got a text from him asking her to let him in, and as she got up, she heard multiple gunshots.

She looked out the window and saw him on the ground. Witnesses reported seeing a man wearing all black clothing run away from the scene.

McCullough was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
