NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police have identified a man who died following a shooting outside a Nashville bar.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Sunday outside the Last Hole Bar on Jefferson Street. Metro Nashville Police said 23-year-old Dontae Easley was shot multiple times and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

According to investigators, a man told them he had planned to meet Easley there even though the bar was closed. He was pulling in the parking lot when he saw several people fleeing.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.

This was the 69th homicide this year in Nashville.

Back in July, there was another deadly shooting outside the bar. In that incident, police said Richard Lee Marsh was shot and killed in a rear parking lot. That case remains unsolved.
