Man Dies From His Injuries in Motorcycle Crash

GLASGLOW, Ky. – A man has died from his injuries, following a motorcycle crash in Barren County Tuesday morning.

Officials with the Barren County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 68-year-old Maxmillion C. Hellmueller from Lexington, KY.

Detectives said the crash happened around 10 a.m.

According to witnesses, Hellmueller was on his motorcycle traveling west bound on the Edmonton Road in Glasglow, and was attempting to pass a Scotty’s construction grader.

They told police that as the motorcycle passed the grader, which was also westbound, the grader started to make a left turn onto Lecta Kino Road.

Hellmueller was thrown from the motorcycle when he struck the grader in the side.

He was taken to TJ Sampson Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The East Barren Fire Department, Air Methods, Barren Metcalfe EMS, and Barren County Emergency Management, all aided in the response.
