Man dies in Nashville motorcycle crash Wednesday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Nashville Wednesday afternoon.

According to Metro police, the motorcyclist - 30-year-old Eric Pullens - lost control of his Honda motorcycle in the 800 block of Cowan Street around 12:45 p.m.

Investigation shows that Pullens was riding his motorcycle east on Cowan Street. When he met a curve, he crossed over the double yellow lines to pass another eastbound vehicle while standing on the seat of the motorcycle.

Pullens was driving at a high rate of speed and sitting on the seat when he lost control and crashed. He was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he died.

No evidence of drug or alcohol involvement was found at the scene of the crash.
