A man was able to escape his burning home after an early-morning fire in Old Hickory.
The incident was reported around 3:30 a.m. Thursday at a residence on Hadleys Bend Boulevard.
Crews on the scene said the man awoke to the sound of his smoke alarms going off and was able to make it out of the home.
No one was hurt; however, the house was destroyed.
The cause was not yet known. Investigators said the fire originated from the back of the home.
The victim lost everything in the blaze except his car. It’s unknown if he’s being assisted by the Red Cross.
