Man Found Naked, Bleeding Arrested On Drug Charges

A man was booked into jail after police found a large amount of drugs and weapons in his South Nashville apartment.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department responded to the apartment on Tampa Drive off Harding Place for a shots fired call.

When they arrived at the apartment around 1 a.m. Saturday, they found Ivan Crump naked and bleeding from his elbow.

Authorities said he confirmed that location was his apartment. Police said they saw drugs, blood, weapons, and paraphernalia in plain view in the apartment.

A search warrant was executed, and officials found a felony amount of marijuana and crack cocaine. Reports stated some of the marijuana was in 32-ounce mason jars, as well as large freezer bags.

The search also turned up resale unused baggies, cigarillos, scales, a grinder, and pipes.

Police said when Crump was taken into custody, he reportedly spit on an officer as he was being placed in the patrol vehicle.

Crump has been facing felony drug charges and a charge of assault of an officer.
