NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man has life-threatening injuries after being shot twice in the head in an overnight shooting in Nashville.
The call for the shooting on the 4000 block of Packard Drive went out just after 11 p.m. Friday.
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying in the parking lot of the apartment complex with gunshot wounds in his head. Next to him was a semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine.
The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. At the time of this writing, his condition is unknown.
Witnesses told police they heard two gunshots, and when they went outside, they saw the man on the ground with the gun.
Police told NewsChannel 5 it clearly was not a suicide attempt, as evidence on the scene disproves that possibility.
The investigation is still ongoing.
