Man killed in Fisk neighborhood shooting, car theft

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A was killed in a carjacking in the Fisk neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

Metro Police say 35-year-old Travis L. Person had reportedly just left an apartment and was parked near the intersection of 21st Avenue and Scovel Street around 2:30 p.m. when he was approached by two masked gunmen.

Police say they shot Person and stole his Nissan Maxima. Person was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries but later died.

His Maxima was found in the 3700 block of Knight Road. The vehicle had been set on fire.
