A man has been indicted in a Clarksville murder that happened in 2017.
Authorities said 25-year-old Tanner Burgess was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he was indicted by a grand jury for a fatal shooting that took place in September 2017 at a home in the 1500 block of Cherry Tree Drive.
Officials said Burgess, who was 24 years old at the time, was involved in a fight, and a firearm was discharged.
The victim, 48-year-old Michael Kehoe, was shot. Burgess was initially charged with aggravated assault, but Kehoe died from his injuries two weeks after the shooting.
Burgess was booked into the Montgomery County Jail where he was being held on a $500,000 bond. He was charged with first degree felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
