Man Injured After Taking Shotgun Blast To Face

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man was injured late Tuesday night in Montgomery County after he was shot in the face with a shotgun.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 800 block of Peachers Mill Road.

Officers with Columbia police arrived on the scene and found a man lying on the ground with an injury to his mouth. He told police he had been shot in the face with a shotgun.

The victim was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where his injuries were said to be non-life threatening.

Police said they have a person-of-interest in custody, but have not released his or her name.
