Police search for driver in hit-run-crash that left victim in critical condition

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Police officials are searching for the driver responsible for hitting a man in Nashville and driving away from the scene.

Police say 58-year-old Anthony Brownlow was found at 10:30 Saturday night in the southbound lane of Dickerson Pike - just north of Trinity Lane. They say he was the victim of a hit-and-run crash.

He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where doctors said his injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

A witness reported seeing an SUV speeding from the scene. There are no sidewalks in this area of Dickerson Pike.

Anyone with information about the vehicle involved and/or its driver was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

A man who was injured after being hit by a vehicle over the weekend has succumbed to his injuries. Metro Nashville Police officials said 58-year-old Anthony Brownlow died Monday.
