Metro Police are investigating after a man says he was shot south of downtown Nashville Sunday night.
The victim told police he was walking on Lafayette Street near 1st Avenue South around 10:30 p.m. when he was shot in the leg.
Police could not locate a shooting scene and there is no description of the gunman.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is expected to be okay.
