Metro Police say a missing man from Cheatham County has been tentatively identified as being found at the scene of a fatal crash.
Police say 31-year-old Steven Adams Jr., of Ashland City, died in the crash.
According to a release, the crash happened about nine days ago and had gone unnoticed until Thursday.
A missing persons report was filed for Adams in Cheatham County on June 20.
Police say Adams was going south on River Road in his car when he entered a "significant" curve, went 200 feet off the roadway down an embankment and into a creek bed.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday. The medical examiner will make a positive identification.
