FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man was killed in a shooting in Franklin early Saturday morning.
Franklin police say officers responded to a shooting call on Edgewood Boulevard just after 2 a.m. Residents in the area had reported hearing gunshots.
Officers found a victim, a 26-year-old Franklin man, at the scene. The man had been shot multiple times.
While officers worked to save the man's life, he died at the scene.
Suspect information and motive are not yet clear; however, detectives are working to piece the scene together and learn of a suspect.
Franklin police ask residents in the area who may have security footage to check for any that might help with the investigation. Anyone with information can call Franklin police at (615) 794-2513. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
