MADISON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Madison early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a house on the 1500 block of Meadow Bend Drive around 3:30 a.m. They found Johnathan Welch, 30, inside his car with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg. He died at the scene.
Police say Welch had been involved in a fight at the house late Saturday night and reportedly returned there a few hours later, when another fight happened in the front yard.
It's believed Welch was running to his car when gunshots were fired.
Investigation is ongoing.
