NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was killed in a South Nashville shooting Tuesday evening.
Metro Nashville Police officials say 30-year-old Demarcus Thompson of Smyrna was shot and killed in a parking lot at Nolensville Pike and Ocala Drive.
Metro Nashville Police officers are searching for the gunman they say was in a black Jeep Cherokee with damage to the driver's side in connection to the shooting. It has a temporary tag and was last seen traveling north on Nolensville Pike.
Anyone with information on the shooting or the Jeep was asked to call police at 615-742-7463.
