NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police said a man was shot and killed outside his East Nashville home late Tuesday night.
According to officers, 30-year-old Benjamin Lane was outside his townhome on Colbert Way putting together furniture with his girlfriend when she heard gunshots and saw him fall to the ground. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he later died.
Detectives say the shooting was targeted, but are still investigating the motive.
