NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man was shot overnight in Nashville after he was approached by three teenagers and refused to hand over cash.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday at a home on 14th Avenue North.

Officials with Metro Nashville police said a 47-year-old man was sitting on his porch when three teens approached and demanded money. When he refused, one of them shot him in the leg.

Police said the suspects fled the scene and it’s believed they ran to a nearby parking lot. They have not yet been caught.
