CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police say a man was shot and killed overnight in Clarksville.
The incident happened shortly before midnight Wednesday in the 900 block of College Street.
Clarksville police said officers initially responded to a report of a fight. At some point, the altercation escalated to a shooting.
Police found a 31-year-old man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say they have solid leads in the case but have not yet made an arrest. They believe the victim and suspect knew each other. Neither was immediately identified.
