NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police say they’re working to identify the gunman who shot and killed a 34-year-old man inside his car, Monday night.

The call came in at 7:25 p.m. in the area of Weaver Drive and School Lane, not far from Murfreesboro Pike. Police said officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area and found Alexander Presley inside his running car.

Presley had been shot, and the car had a bullet hole in it. Police say he died at the scene.

Witnesses reported that Presley was sitting inside his car in the driveway of his home when a newer model black sedan pulled in behind him. Police said two people got out, approached Presley’s vehicle and one of them fired a shot.

The two then fled. Presley drove to the 1300 block of School Lane, where officers found him.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
