Man Shot Twice During Nashville Robbery Attempt

A man was shot twice overnight during an attempted robbery in North Nashville.

Metro Nashville police said they were called the area of 24th Avenue North and Clarksville Pike around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

The victim said the suspect approached him from behind and demanded his belongings.

When the victim said he didn't have anything, officers said the suspect fired one shot and began to run.

The suspect then turned around and fired a second shot at the victim, hitting him in the upper chest.

The victim was taken to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital for treatment, where he's listed in critical but stable condition.
