An apparent dispute between two strangers led to a stabbing in downtown Nashville.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, the incident happened Sunday on 2nd Avenue and Broadway.
Officers responded to a stabbing call and made their way to 2nd Avenue, where they spotted a suspect matching the description.
They questioned him and the suspect allegedly admitted to stabbing the victim three times, claiming it was self-defense. Officers then searched him and found a pipe and a pouch full of crack.
Police said the suspect was booked on aggravated assault. They did locate the knife.
The victim was expected to be okay.
