NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was injured after he was allegedly beaten and stabbed in the neck inside the bathroom of a Nashville fast food restaurant.

The incident happened Monday at a McDonald’s on Gallatin Pike.

Officials with Metro Police said the victim went into the bathroom when the suspect, identified Ricky Denison, followed him.

A short time later, witnesses reported hearing a scream and what sounded like two men fighting. One person said the victim tried to leave the restroom, but Denison reportedly dragged him back inside.

A customer ran into the bathroom and found the victim bleeding profusely from his neck.

Another person was able to hold Denison at the scene until police arrived. The victim told investigators that Denison allegedly tried to rob him of $1200.

He was taken to an area hospital, where his condition was not known.

However, Denison told police that the victim punched him in the side of his head, which knocked out his hearing aid, and kicked his bad knee.

Denison was arrested and charged with attempted criminal homicide. His photo was not immediately available.
