Man Stabbed Twice During Fight In South Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was injured overnight when an altercation escalated in south Nashville.

Officials with Metro police said two men, identified as Trevaughn Hunter and William Edward, got into an argument around 1 a.m. Monday.

The altercation apparently stemmed from a previous incident.

At some point, a physical fight broke out between the two. Police said Edward was stabbed twice.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, Hunter was still on the scene when officers arrived. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.
