NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect has been taken into custody after he was tased during a struggle with a Metro police officer.
Officials said officers were taking Chad Collins in to custody on drug charges in downtown Nashville when he fought back and struck an officer several times.
The policeman was forced to use his taser in order to subdue Collins.
The 33-year-old was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including evading arrest, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and assault of an officer, in addition to various drug charges.
The officer was not seriously hurt and is expected to be okay.
