NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Narcotics Detectives with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department arrested a man and a 16-year-old for trafficking heroin.
Detectives arrested 31-year-old Jamie Sebastian Adams and a 16-year-old Wednesday at a Brick Church Pike motel.
The investigation with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation lasted several months and ended Wednesday when they executed a search warrant at the motel.
Detectives believed the two trafficked the Mexican heroin from Ohio with the intent of passing it on to street dealers.
Adams, who is of Honduran descent, was charged with possession of heroin for resale and has been jailed in lieu of $250,000 bond.
The 16-year-old was charged with a felony heroin offense at Juvenile Court and is now in detention.
Officials with the MNPD’s Specialized Investigations Division have made heroin interdiction a priority, because of the high potential for overdose deaths and other health issues.
