Police have been trying to identify a man who hid in a woman’s car and threatened to shoot her.
Reports stated the suspect reportedly hid in the backseat of the 22-year-old woman’s unlocked car when she went inside the Shell convenience store in the 5400 block of Nolensville Pike.
After she parked her car around 9 p.m. Friday and went inside, she was reportedly away from her vehicle for about ten minutes.
When she got back in her car, she drove west on Hickory View Drive, and the suspect popped up in the backseat.
Authorities said he had a gun and told her to drive. The woman complied, but then she accelerated and made several sharp, fast turns, returning to the Shell station. When she got there, she jumped out of her car, and the suspect also got out and fled from the scene on foot.
The suspect, believed to be in his 20s, was described as standing around 6’ tall with a medium build.
Authorities released surveillance photos of him. Anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
