Man Arrested For Attempted Murder In Western Kentucky

A search has ended in the arrest of a man wanted in connection to a violent home invasion in Western Kentucky.

The man, identified as 31-year-old Douglas A. Becker, of Taylor, Texas, has been accused of breaking into a home in Graves County, Kentucky, assaulting two people, holding one against her will, and shooting a gun inside the home. The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday

Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. 

Around 2 p.m. Saturday, Becker was allegedly seen in the same area where the shooting took place. Authorities responded and reported seeing him in the area of Bell Road near Dooms Chapel.

Officials said he was considered armed and dangerous.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. Saturday, someone called authorities about spotting Becker in Marshall County, Kentucky on Phelps Road near Symsonia Highway.

Becker was taken to the hospital due to his exposure to the cold temperatures overnight.

Once he has been medically cleared, officials said he will be taken into custody and lodged in the Graves County Jail.

He's facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, first degree burglary, first degree unlawful imprisonment, two counts of fourth degree assault, and three counts of first degree wanton endangerment.
