FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Police have asked the public to be on the lookout for a potentially armed and dangerous suspect who allegedly assaulted his mother in Franklin.
The alleged attack happened at 5:40pm Monday, on Chestnut Lane.
Officials with Franklin Police said 24-year-old Denzel Ware violently assaulted his mother by punching her in the face and pulling out her hair.
Afterwards, police said Ware walked outside and fired several shots into the air before going back in and attacking her again.
He fled in a charcoal gray Challenger before officers arrived on the scene. Police said he is considered armed and dangerous.
In March, Ware was placed on probation following drug and resisting arrest convictions.
A reward of up to $1,000 has been offered for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at (615)-794-4000.
