Springfield Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

The suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in Springfield has surrendered to authorities. 

Springfield Police said 26-year-old Joseph "Joe" Johnson has been accused of shooting his brother, 34-year-old Jacques Johnson. 

The incident happened around 8 p.m. Monday outside of a home on Ben Drive. 

Police said Johnson followed his brother out of the home and shot him as he tried to leave.The shooting was believed to be unprovoked. 
 
The victim was rushed to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville and underwent emergency surgery for serious injuries.
 
Warrants were issued for Johnson for criminal attempt to commit criminal homicide. Police confirmed Tuesday morning that Johnson had turned himself in after an hours-long manhunt.
