A man was taken into custody early Wednesday morning following a chase that began in La Vergne and ended in Nashville.
LaVergne Police officers said they spotted Johnathan Hutchinson near a construction site Tuesday night. He was someone police had been looking for due to multiple warrants for his arrest in a handful of local counties.
Police said Hutchinson took off in a vehicle that had stolen tags. After Hutchinson ran a red light, police said a chase ensued.
The chase came to an end near Elysian Field in south Nashville. Police said Hutchinson's car crashed, landing on its side. Hutchinson bailed from the vehicle, but was caught by a police K-9.
Investigators said Hutchinson was wanted for multiple warrants, but most recently he was accused of stealing a dozen heavy construction batteries worth a total of $3,000.
Hutchinson was taken to a local hospital to be treated for a canine bite.
