HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — The man who drowned in the Tennessee River Friday has been identified as Jason Hoilman.
Hoilman's body was found after a large mutli-agency search was carried out into the night on Friday. Humphreys County deputies, emergency responders, the TWRA, and even civilians participated the mission.
According to the Humphreys County Sheriff's Office, Hoilman was in town visiting his family when their family boat drifted away from the dock. He jumped in the water and tried to swim to it, but had a problem, yelled for help, and sank below the water.
Hoilman was not wearing a life jacket.
