BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - A man was listed in critical condition after an altercation with deputies.
The incident happened in Bowling Green, Kentucky Saturday night.
Officials with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said they found 26-year-old Franklin Mendez with a self-inflicted injury behind a home on Hilldale Avenue.
While they were waiting for an ambulance, Mendez hit a deputy and attempted to disarm him.
He then took off, and authorities activated their tasers.
Deputies tracked him down, and Mendez was taken to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition.
Authorities said he was facing assault charges.
