COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 38-year-old Cookeville man has been taken into custody after allegedly stabbing a woman to death and stealing a car.

According to police, Andrew Price had been wanted on several warrants, including second-degree murder in the 22-year-old woman's death.

Officers said he was involved in some sort of domestic situation when the homicide happened at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday. Officers did not say where the incident happened. We know at least one other person was assaulted in this case.

Investigators said Price left the scene in a stolen 2012 gray Infinity G25 sedan.

Price was involved in a pursuit, according to police. Officers tried to arrest him but weren't able to do so. He was last seen in Clay County.

At this point, it's unclear where he was taken into custody.
