CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The search continues for a suspect responsible for a string of crimes along the Interstate 24 corridor in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.
Officials said the man has been called the “I-24 Bandit” and has been targeting convenience stores from Christian County, Kentucky all the way down to Cheatham County.
The crimes have taken place this week, where he's allegedly robbed three different stores.
Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect in hopes of identifying him.
In one of the videos, the man can be seen walking into the store. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, at which point he demanded money from the clerk.
All of the businesses targeted have been along the I-24 corridor. The first happened at a gas station in Tyler Town off Exit 1.
A few hours later, a gas station off Exit 11 was hit at 10:30 Saturday night. The last occurred in Cheatham County just after 11p.m.
