Man's Body Found In Duck River

Believed To Be An Accidental Drowning

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. - Officials in Bedford County confirmed a man in his late 50s drowned in the Duck River.

Authorities identified the man as Mitchell Smith. They said his body was discovered by the TWRA around noon Saturday near Warner Bridge Road.

At this point in time, officials said they’re considering the drowning to be accidental.

An autopsy has been planned to officially rule out foul play.
