Many New Year's Resolutions Begin In Local Gyms

People began their healthy New Year’s resolutions by working out leaving local gyms busy with new and old members.

The Nashville downtown YMCA on Church Street was full of people walking, running, and lifting weights.

People were determined to stick to those healthy lifestyle goals, even on a holiday.

“Every day is a holiday to me. See what people are going to do, but I’m working out as usual. It's an equal balance,” said YMCA member Omari Byrd.

Area gyms expected to see a surge in new members once folks get back to work next week.
