A portion of McGavock Pike was shut down while officers investigated a hit-and-run auto-pedestrian crash. Police said they're still looking for the driver.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. Monday at the intersection of McGavock Pike and Lebanon Pike in Donelson.
There was a fair amount of debris in the road, including part of a side mirror and some pieces of clothing.
An employee at the nearby Discount Tobacco store said a vehicle hit someone who was crossing the street. The vehicle then took off.
There was no additional info on the vehicle involved.
The individual was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
McGavock Pike was closed for over two hours while police worked at the scene.
