NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Metropolitan Development Housing Authority held its annual 90 Plus Celebration to celebrate the lives of residents who are 90 years of age or older.
This is the 45th year MDHA has held the celebration.
"We spend a lot of time at MDHA trying to get it right, and take care of people. It's just an honor and a privilege to be able to say that for half of our residents, those that are elderly and disabled, we think we give you a pretty good place to live, and we want to keep trying to do that," MDHA Executive Director James Harbison said.
NewsChannel 5's Vicki Yates was the emcee for Thursday's event, held at Parthenon Towers.
Sixteen 90 plus residents were honored, including the oldest resident Lula Waters who will celebrate her 107th birthday in October.
